Built to accommodate 1188 students, Robinson will provide a variety of programs for its students. Academic study will include reading (grades 6 and 7), language arts, math, science, social studies, PE and health. Elective and exploratory courses may be chosen from the fine and performing arts, workforce development, and foreign language. Character development, community service, advisory, intramurals, and a fair measure of fun will round out students' formal school day. There will be interscholastic sports, clubs and co-curricular activities such as Odyssey of the Mind, National Academic League, Student Council and National Junior Beta.

South MecklenburgHigh School received the Governor’s Entrepreneurial Schools Award in 1997 and was a North Carolina Exemplary Growth school in 1998 and 1999 and an Expected Growth school in 2000.  Over 85% of South Mecklenburg graduates continue their formal education. The award-winning math team has achieved overall first place at UNCC five times. The school also has award-winning debate, choral, band, orchestra, visual arts and Naval Junior ROTC programs. The school's athletic heritage includes winning 20 state championships and over 100 conference championships.

Built in 1999, Indian Land Elementary and Indian Land Middle are located in one building with separate sides dedicated to each.  The schools boast great student/teacher ratios and offer Advanced Testing and Programs for gifted students, Enrichment Programs and a variety of extracurricular activities.  Technologically advanced, the schools share a brand new computer lab with 28 computers, each classroom has three to five networked computers, every teacher has their own laptop and 30 laptops are available for students to check out.
